SOFT ADVENTURE ACCOMMODATION FOR 'OVERLAND SAFARIS::

Is offered on Austour's range of camping safari tours. It is designed for those clients who seek adventure without the need to pitch a tent each night.

It is not the intention of Austour to offer motel accommodation or rooms with private facilities.

Soft Adventure Accommodation is budget style cabins, on site caravans, tourist lodges, two star hotel/motel rooms, homestead cabins, shearers quarters, underground cavern etc. The accommodation is generally located on or close to the camping park where the camping clients pitch their tents and establish their camp and kitchen.

All clients, camping and soft adventure, have their meals catered from the coach safari trailer or vehicle catering area. They sit on camp stools at camp tables.

An Overland Camping & Soft Adventure Tour is not an accommodated tour. It is an adventure safari - so you must be flexible. In the event of delays in outback regions road closures due to rain or flooding, soft adventure clients may be required to camp in tents in these circumstances.

It is most important that clients booking soft adventure appreciate that they are on a Safari Adventure Tour and have chosen to upgrade from tents to the next best available alternative - a night in shearers quarters, an underground bunkhouse in a mining town, an onsite caravan or cabin is part of the Australian experience that Austour wants to share with its valued adventure clients.

Below are examples of the type of accommodation which you can expect to have if you book Soft Adventure style accommodation.
